Looking back at the Monterey Car Week 2017
For those of us lucky enough to have attended one or more of the many events in Monterey last month, no one should have left disappointed. Auction houses produced some interesting sales as well as some record prices as well as some great deals. The concours related events were packed with top notch cars, and of course Pebble Beach was the world class event we have all come to expect. What did stand out was that this being the 70th anniversary of Ferrari, there was an additional display on the 18th fairway of Pebble Beach that included judging done by the public via iPads.
But if one were to look back and stand in wonder, it was at the Quail Lodge when Pagani produced a stellar and massive line up of their Pagani Huayras. All customer owned and long since sold out, this boutique manufacturer should by all accounts be seen as Porsche or Ferrari was seen by the world back in the late 1940s or early 1950s. Well done Pagani!
