Phoenix International Raceway
Rumor has it that P.I.R. is closing their Road Course!
According to the National Auto Sport Association - Arizona Region, Phoenix International Raceway is closing their road course (much to the disappointment of local racers). The According to a local website, P.I.R. is to shut their road course. Local groups such as the S.C.C.A. and NASA-AZ have used the course for decades as a place for both club and professional races.
So far we have yet to confirm the rumor, but NASA-AZ claims they had their last road course race this last February 6th (and none of them knew it at the time).
