The end of summer is a transition that many car enthusiasts welcome. Warmer weather is lending to automotive adventure, but autumn weather brings about even more opportunities for enthusiasts and museums alike to squeeze in the last bouts of exciting events before the ‘big freeze”. The following museums have a few events coming up that you can jump in on before we start facing colder weather.
The Larz Anderson Museum will be hosting a Porsche Day on September 7th 2019 from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. on the lawn for all to see. If you have a Porsche you’d like to showcase, registration is still going on now and spectator prices are of course available as well. Take advantage of being outdoors and appreciating the automotive splendor that has managed to impress for over 60+ years in the form of the finest German Engineering. Next up we have the Simeone Museum featuring a demo day otherwise known as The Flying Mantuan. Several collection cars from the museum will be centered around technical learning lessons, a driving demonstration, some Q&A, and picture opportunities. This is a great chance to see some older automobiles like the 1926 Bugatti Type 35 and the 1933 Alfa Romeo 8C 2300 Monza in action. This fun filled day will occur on September 28th 2019 from roughly 11 a.m. until 2:30 p.m. with the doors opening at 10 a.m. Be sure and mark you calendars for this one by clicking here!
Lastly, we have the Corvette Museum hosting a racing banquet where you can join Tadge Juechter, Kai Spande, and Doug Fehan in Seaside CA for the Laguna Seca Race Weekend taking place Saturday September 9th 2019.
